Physical and Chemical Properties | Bioactive Suramin sodium hexasodium (Suramin) is a reversible and competitive protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTPases) inhibitor. Suramin sodium salt is a potent sirtuins inhibitor: SirT1 (IC50=297 nM),SirT2 (IC50=1.15 μM),SirT5 (IC50=22 μM). Suramin sodium salt is a competitive reverse transcriptase inhibitor (DNA topoisomerase II: IC50 = 5 μM). Suramin sodium salt is a potent SARS-CoV-2 RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp) inhibitor. Suramin sodium salt effectively inhibits IP5K and is an antiparasitic (antiparasitic), antitumor and antiangiogenic agent. |
Use | The application of suramin sodium has been proved to have anti-trypanosomiasis, anti-tumor, prevention and treatment of ocular proliferative diseases, anti-virus, immunomodulatory effects, and widely used in clinical practice. At present, there is no report that suramin sodium has anti-coccidia effect. Through the known properties of suramin sodium, it is impossible to infer whether it has anti-coccidia effect. Suramin sodium salt, is a hepatitis C virus NS3 helicase inhibitor. It is also used to treat arthritis caused by collagen problems. |
